How do I become a member?

Send us a note with the subject 'Joining'.

When we read your note, we will add you to our watched users list and our member list.

Only after we've replied to you with our Welcome Note then you would be an official member of the club .


I received a Welcome Note from the club. Why am I not on the members list?

It is likely that the admin who added you didn't get a chance to add your name to the list yet. Leave a comment under the member list that you should be on and you will be added as soon as possible.


How do I add the club's stamp/icon in my journal?

The stamp can only be added to your journal if you're a subscriber. Copy the 'Thumb' code in the bottom right hand corner under the deviation and paste it in your journal.

If you haven't got a subscription then you can just add the club icon in your journal which is just as good To add the icon type : iconphotographersclub : without the spaces between the : .


ABOUT SUBMITTING

How do I submit deviations to the club gallery?

First, you must be a member of the club. For information on joining, see section above.

*PhotographersClub accepts submissions in two forms: Theme or Freestyle.
- Theme submissions are accepted once we have announced a new theme in our journal. The deviation you submit must be your own interpretation of the theme. Members are usually given 1 - 2 weeks to send in their Theme submission (the closing and opening dates are always in our journal). During theme week(s), Freestyle submissions are not accepted.
- Freestyle Day is the name we give to a certain date on which members do not have to submit according to the theme. That day, and that day only, you can submit any photograph you want. The date of the next freestyle day is always announced in our journal once we have cleared submissions for the previous theme. Make sure you carefully consider which photo you send in for Freestyle Day as it only comes by every once in a while .

Send us a note with the title 'Submission (Theme Name/Freestyle Day)'. For example, if the theme for that week is 'Looking Up' then the note title will be 'Submission (Looking Up)', or if it's a Freestyle Day, it should say 'Submission (Freestyle Day)' or 'Submission (FD)'

We only accept deviations which belong under the Photography Category.

Each member may submit one deviation per theme.

Make sure you enable journal notifications from us to find out what theme we've got each week.

Also, look out for our Freestyle Day.

How often may I submit to the club?

I sent a submission request; why hasn't my deviation been added yet?

Please do not re-send your submission if you haven't seen it uploaded yet.

There are a few possible situations:
We only accept submissions from official members so if you're not listed as a member then we would not accept submissions from you. If this is the case, we would reply to you via note explaining the situation.

If you've waited a few days and your submission hasn't been added yet, it is likely that we didn't have a chance to upload it because we have a mountain of notes to tend to and your submission is in queue. If this is the case, please do not re-send your submissions; we'll get to yours as soon as we can. We upload a limit of 10 - 15 deviations a day so that we don't flood your inbox, that's why there's usually a waiting period.

If a new theme has been announced and you sent your submission request before submissions closed for the previous theme, it is likely that one of our admins has missed your request or we did not receive it. In this case, please re-send your submission, making sure you explain the situation.

If a new theme has been announced but you sent in your submission request for the old theme after submissions were closed for that theme, then we did not upload your deviation because you missed the closing date.


Why was the category of my deviation changed?

Usually if an admin believes that your deviation was placed in the wrong category, it will be changed to a more suitable one. For example, many place photos of dogs and cats under 'Domesticated Animals'. Did you know that there's a whole category dedicated to dogs and cats alone?

How often do you hold contests?
We usually have a contest once a month. Enable journal/news notifications from us so that you will be notified when our next contest begins.


How do I become a featured member?

Some of our admins usually scout our active members' galleries to find photographs to be featured. We also receive suggestions from members. If you believe a certain member is eligible to be featured, please note us and we'll see what we can do . Please don't suggest yourself .


How do I become a *PhotographersClub Admin?

Usually when we need more admins, we announce it in our journal. Details will be there.
